We are currently looking for an experienced Plant Inspector for a permanent role based in Teeside.Working within the Inspection Group you will help to ensure that the vessels, piping and other equipment on the site are suitably inspected to ensure that safety, reliability and legislative requirements are satisfied. The role will involve a number of activities associated with the inspection, fabrication and repair of a wide range of equipment. The jobholder will report to the Inspection and Materials Engineers whilst working under the day-to-day direction of the Lead Plant Inspector.
Key Responsibilities:
• Liaise with Reliability Planners to arrange inspection activities
• Conduct inspections as described in the site schemes of examination or as directed by the Inspection Engineer, Materials Engineer or Lead Plant Inspector.
• Arrange and supervise external NDT contractors as required
• Prepare clear and concise inspection reports and effectively communicate inspection requirements and findings.
• Carryout quality control duties on fabrication and repairs when required.
• Assist in maintaining the corrosion lab in good order
• Prepare samples and conduct materials performance investigations as directed by the Materials Engineer
To be considered you must hold a minimum level ONC or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years experience of vessel/piping inspection. You must hold recognised qualifications in DPI, MPI and UT inspection to Level II with 5 years relevant experience. A full clean driving licence is essential.
